MrQ is seeking a Head of Data Delivery to lead the strategy, design, and execution of our company-wide data delivery initiatives. This role will be instrumental in bridging the gap between data engineering and actionable business insights, ensuring that data is accessible, high-quality, governed, and leveraged effectively across all teams.

You will act as a custodian of data quality, access, and structure, while stewarding the foundational data infrastructure and systems that support BI, analytics and operations. This role requires a blend of technical leadership, custody of reporting, governance and a strong enablement mindset.

What You Will Do

• Leadership & Strategy: Define and lead the company’s data vision, promoting self-serve analytics and collaborating across teams to drive data maturity.
• Data Operations & Service Management: Set up and manage a centralised data request desk with clear workflows, SLAs, and visibility into request handling and delivery.
• Data Infrastructure & Architecture: Oversee scalable, secure data infrastructure in BigQuery and implement tools that support discovery, access, and automation.
• Data Modelling & Governance: Lead data governance and compliance efforts, ensuring responsible data use through clear policies and frameworks.
• Custodianship of Data Quality & Access: Maintain high data quality and implement access controls to ensure the right data reaches the right people securely.
• BI Enablement & Analytics Delivery: Own BI platforms like ThoughtSpot, enabling self-serve analytics and consistent, reusable reporting models.
• Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration: Grow and lead a skilled data team while translating business needs into actionable data solutions across functions.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform management, or architecture, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the iGaming, entertainment, or high-traffic consumer industry.
• Deep expertise with SQL (BigQuery or equivalent) and at least one major cloud platform (GCP or AWS).
• Experience with Airflow,and dbt and knowledge of 3rd party tools (AirByte) including orchestration, dependency management, and CI/CD practices.
• Extensive experience in data modelling, schema design, and cloud warehousing.
• Hands-on exposure to BI tools such as ThoughtSpot, Looker, or Tableau.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to translate technical strategy and reporting requirements into business impact.
• Strong understanding of data privacy and data protection relevant to GDPR and regulated industries.
